TechFarms: Panama City Beach’s Premier Coworking Space

The workplace is evolving. Gone are the days of working in an office cubicle. Around 40% of the American workforce is still working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and companies around the globe are adapting their workforce models to accommodate more work-from-anywhere positions. Many remote workers are now turning to their local coworking spaces for office amenities in a flexible setting.

Coworking spaces are shared workspaces offering amenities such as high-speed internet, meeting rooms, kitchens, and communal space for collaboration and networking. These spaces have a unique vibrance and culture that draws people in and elevates work beyond the daily grind.

TechFarms is a tech incubator and coworking space focused on nurturing promising early-stage tech startups with big ideas. Our members enjoy a relaxed, innovative workspace where ideas flow. From our complimentary coffee bar and free printing & scanning, to our robust makerspace, we strive to cultivate the ideal work environment. There are three categories that define TechFarms’ coworking space and it all starts with…

The Members

We are firm believers that the people make the place. At TechFarms, we put the members before everything else since each brings something special to the table.

We have photographers, marketers, entrepreneurs, engineers, artists, and a plethora of other doers that comprise our living, breathing community. Our members are eager to assist each other and thrive off comradery.

The biggest advantage to coworking at TechFarms is the networking opportunity. No one other place in the Panama City area is as conducive to forming new working relationships. As the only coworking place in town, TechFarms is a magnet for driven individuals just itching to meet like-minded people that can expand their network.

The Space

The people come first, but the place is a close second. TechFarms is an eclectic, open space with numerous hideaways and other amenities. There isn’t anything quite like our space for miles.

From the outside, it is an inconspicuous warehouse, but it doesn’t take long to discover not all things are what they seem. Upon entering the building the warehouse is transformed into a sleek office, complete with reception area, conference room, and kitchenette.

The space morphs again once you enter the bonified coworking area, an open room with a lounge, private booths, collaboration tables, loft, 3D printers, and more. The layout is open and warm. Each workstation is as easily accessible as it is comfortable.

As is, our space is one-of-a-kind, but we decided to go a step further. Currently, we are in the process of constructing a new 13,000 SF, two-story building directly behind our current facility that will contain all the features mentioned thus far, only bigger and better. The new facility will also have amenities we are currently lacking, like a full media production studio and a fully-equipped prototyping shop.

New facility under construction.

The Ecosystem

TechFarms’ mission has always been to grow Northwest Florida’s tech economy. We want to foster an environment that encourages growth and creativity. As such, we are entrepreneur-focused, whether it be through our incubation program that provides mentorship, funding, and needed services to promising tech startups, or our thriving coworking space that draws in business owners and passionate students. Each day we move towards our goal.

The Southeast is one of the fastest-growing economies right now in the United States. According to Business Insider, 9 cities in the Southeast made the cut of the 25 fastest growing cities in the U.S. based on several economic factors. Florida, in particular, is seeing immense growth as businesses of all sizes move here to escape high taxes and other pandemic lockdown restrictions. Remote working now allows many individuals to move away from the once essential commerce hubs of New York and California, and many are now moving to Northwest Florida. TechFarms’ has seen an increase in the number of out-of-state workers that are joining our coworking and incubator programs.

In addition to the new building, we are in the process of nearly doubling our staff in anticipation of the influx of new members as we continue to strive to provide an outstanding level of service to all of our members.
